Scooter Center BGM
has been selling shock absorbers for Vespa scooters for 15 years now and has
continuously developed them further. Despite permanent quality control by the
manufacturer and the strict controls in the incoming goods department at Scooter
Centre, we have unfortunately discovered a safety-relevant defect which has led
to the failure of 2 shock absorbers.
When mounting the
adjustment wheel on the piston rod, the amount of activator for the glue was
too low in individual cases, which in the worst case could lead to the screw
connection of the shock absorber coming loose.
As this
safety-relevant defect is not recognisable from the outside, we are recalling
the following shock absorbers for inspection as a precautionary measure from
the sales date 01.2023.

The use of shock absorbers must therefore be
discontinued immediately in order to avoid damage to property and personal
injury.

Union: all buyers known to us of the possibly affected batches will be
contacted and will receive a free return label by email at the beginning of the
first week of July 2024 without the need for a request.
