It all started with the decision to choose an exhaust for the 1000km trip of our GTS Keyless 2023 and we went for the Malossi.

We took the opportunity to stop off in Bologna to visit Malossi on the way to the Pontedera Vespa World Days, where I was able to see what is behind the brand, and it is impressive, all the scooters were beautifully presented in an enviably clean workshop, and walking around the huge site we even picked up our order on the way to Germany, making us feel at home.

visiting @malossispayt #malossi #gtsmalossi

There we were invited to their event, the timing of which coincided perfectly with our return of the VWD to Germany, this time in Modena. The event took place on 21.04.2024 at the Autodromo di Modena and consisted of two main parts:

Miscela Day

Some of the things we found at this meeting were the Dyno, dj set, Contest of ugliness and arrogance where the only rule is to be yourself, a simulator: Moto trainer and a pit walk to make the speed experience closer, the shop, food and drinks, and even a tattoo area with flash designs by Malossi.

It's amazing how the atmosphere of speed and performance is in the air, an event that left us amazed and with a wide participation, from children riding their bikes on the rear wheel, to the most professional on the track, to those who bring their uniqueness scooter designs to show them off to the connoisseurs.

Miscela Day program

Malossi trophies

in the 37th edition, we had the opportunity to live closely the experience of a scooter race with Joe Shack, all the tension before and after the race, the physical and mental preparation and the support of a great team, which together, will define results in the seconds that these races last.

In the boxes you could also find it Malossi Racing Academy with the Italjet Dragster 200cc.

in short, an event that speed lovers have to experience once in their lives.

Vespa World Days Pontedera 2024 was a dream, but for us it started much earlier. The first task was preparing the scooters. We arrived with two GTS, a GTV and our Ciao.

Vespa World Days, Pontedera 2024

The event was organized in record time and Pontedera was chosen because of the 140th anniversary of the Piaggio factory. The Vespa Clubs of Pontedera, Florence, Pisa and other locations have come together to support the logistics required for an event of this magnitude.

All Vespas are beautiful

Although we know that the customization options of a Vespa are unique, at a meeting with more than 15.000 Vespas there is something to see for every taste.

#RealScooterists everywhere

We find scenes like from a Renaissance painting. how we saw several Vespisti repairing a Vespa, a beautiful couple from Greece with a sticker showing them as they are or the clever choice of costumes for the parade (Corso). The #Realscooterists don't lack creativity.

The highlight was undoubtedly the commitment of Pontedera and all the surrounding villages. The shops were decorated with Vespas and all the residents greeted with applause and smiles the kilometer-long line of Vespas that filled Tuscany with Vespa charm for over three hours.

On the first day we were able to take part in the tour of the beautiful village of Lari, which was a gastronomic experience. We could also Nicola Limpennatore in the Vespa Village, who performed his incredible feats on a Vespa.

Of course, I am personally very proud that Latin America is made up of a large group Vespa Club Mexico, VC Argentina, VC Puerto Rico, VC Chile, VC Peru, the two-stroke movement MCL2T and of course the VC Colombia is represented.

the next  Vespa World Days will take place from May 1st to 4th, 2025 in Gijon, Spain and we will follow the preparations closely.

The first February weekend of the year is an absolute must for everyone Real Scooterist at. The Scooterist Meltdown in Kalkar is an all-inclusive weekender in a class of its own. Depending on the package you book, it ranges from five days to just one nighter or the big custom and dealer show on Saturday.

The program is designed in the best Scooterist tradition. The nighter starts on Friday at 20 p.m. and Saturday at 19 p.m. In 3 locations (Main Room, Indie Room & Ska Bar) you can dance to the finest Northern Soul, R'n'B, Ska, Reggae, Madchester & Brit Pop and alternative tunes until 3.00 a.m. You can also chill out or bowl in the hotel bar.

Live bands on both Friday and Saturday round off the program.

On Saturday there is traditionally the big custom and trade show during the day. And this year it completely broke the mold with 70 exhibitors from all over Europe. There has never been so much going on and we can judge it quite well, as we were able to be there with our SC stand at nine out of ten Meltdowns.

We were able to exchange the hottest news and the latest gossip in the scene with around 2.000 visitors, customers and friends throughout the day. And one thing is already certain: next year is definitely booked!

Thank you very much and congratulations to the Scooterist of 84 crew on turning ten!

Rhine Switch Old Switch Event

A good friend of the house: Rhine counter VC Cologne  celebrates its tenth anniversary in 2024 and Kris, the president, invites us to a big event!

In 2014, three Vespisti from the Rhineland in the Alps were sitting in their van at night on the way home from the Vespa World Days in Mantova, Italy, and were so enthusiastic about the huge Vespa meeting that they quickly launched a new Vespa Club - the Vespa -Club RheinSchaler Cologne! A club for Vespa enthusiasts from Cologne and the surrounding area.

After ten years The three boys have now become over 100 Vespisti and Scooterists. Colorful, diverse, open, crazy and Rhenish-friendly, people have been meeting on Sundays at 16 p.m. on Cologne's Rudolfplatz since the beginning to chat and plan trips.

Vespa joy straubig

When it comes to a good cause, celebrations in December have a special meaning, and that's how they met Vespa friends Straubig to the mulled wine regulars' table and Harald talks about it

On November 25.11.2023th, XNUMX they met Vespa friends Straubing in the Hubertushalle in Straubing for our mulled wine get-together.

The occasion was perfect because Raphael Knespel was holding the Vespa parts market in the Hubertushalle at the same time.

After the Vespa parts market, we started with our annual mulled wine get-together for the benefit of the Bettina Bräu Foundation

Around 40 accompanied members helped to make the event a complete success.

In terms of culinary delights, there were plenty of donated Käsekrainer, veal sausages and Iberico pork neck in a roll.

In advance there was of course thematically, mulled wine, punch and mulled wine with a shot.

The remaining excellent catering service took over Stefan Bauer from the Hubertus Hall.

Auction Vespa Friends Straubig

A big highlight of the evening was the auction. Here everyone was waiting for the highlight from SC. Leg protection against the cold was particularly popular.

Markus Tom Rösner emerged as the winner from the bidding battle. Tom was very happy.

The net proceeds from the event are included 750€.

This sum will be transferred to the foundation.

I thank the house Scooter Center for this great commitment.

Moped tour Leverkusen

We had the opportunity to be part of the Moped XMas Tour 2023 of Piaggio Club Leverkusen and contribute with prizes for the winners.

It was a complete success, but it's better to say it in the words of the organizers:

Our Xmas Tour 2023 was again a great success. At the Leverkusen Clinic we have St. Nicholas gifts for the children's ward, which were donated by the Piaggio Center Roock. In the end, we collected a whopping €2180 at the Christmas market for the Leverkusen Project Sterntaler Bürgenstiftung. We would like to thank everyone who took part in the tour and of course the audience who stood on the side of the road and celebrated us. Thanks to everyone involved and the Leverkusen police who accompanied us. It was once again a complete success.

Vespababbo Rhine switch

The has been organizing since 2014 Vespa Club RheinSchalter Cologne the so-called Vespa Babbo. A tradition from Italy in which Vespisti dress up in Christmas outfits and with decorated Vespas to spread Christmas magic in cities and towns while also handing out small gifts and collecting donations for charitable causes.

This year the Cologne VespaBabbo took place for the 10th time. At the same time, this year's VespaBabbo anniversary heralds the club's anniversary in 2024. The Vespa Club Rhein Schalter was founded in 2014 by three friends on their way back through the Alps from the Vespa World Days in Mantova (IT) and now has around 100 members in Cologne and the surrounding area.

VespaBabbo prices

For a donation there was a Christmas package consisting of a bag, chocolate lice, SC stickers and a ticket for the raffle. You had the chance to win one of 23 prizes, which were awarded by, among others Scooter Center, Cologne Industries, Cologne schnapps from jörg's wine shop and some club members were sponsored.

In addition, there were 3 special prizes awarded by the club's executive committee:
1. For the most beautifully decorated Vespa
2. For the most unusual costume.
3. For the best combination (best costume and most beautiful Vespa)

Most creative costume and best combination

And since we sell accessories, we decided to stay true to that concept and dress up as Christmas accessories, which earned us the Best Costume award. ;)

Best decorated scooter

This Vespa, which, judging by its license plate, came from Monschau, was the sensation of the whole event and understandably won the prize for the most beautifully decorated Vespa.

Donate

The Cologne VespaBabbo collected around 1.000 EUR for all participants, this time from the Cologne club Association for bittersweet Cologne eV., will benefit. Zartbitter campaigns against sexual abuse of boys and girls.

Have fun and spread pre-Christmas cheer in the city!

Around 80 classic scooters took part in this Switch Edition tour, including two Apes who accompanied us. The route was organized so that the group covered the most important Christmas markets. And thanks to the donation, each Vespa received a bag of chocolate Santas to spread sweet Christmas cheer along the route.

We would like to thank the VC Rheinwechsel for allowing us to be part of this fun and great campaign.
St. Nicholas Day trips like this have inspired many clubs and we look forward to taking part in the “Moped X-Mas Tour” to participate.

Vespa Club Wiehengebirge

The Vespa Club Wiehengebirge celebrated its 5th anniversary and Marco Niehoff shared these great photos with us, which testify to the perfect organization of the event in Bissendorf,

“On July 08.07.2023th, 5, the Vespa Club Wiehengebirge eV celebrated its 100th anniversary with joyful company. Friends and keen Vespa enthusiasts from various clubs were warmly invited to this special occasion. The invitation was well received and more than 70 guests flocked to the event, over XNUMX of whom proudly arrived on their own Vespas.

For the first 50 scooters that arrived that day, there was an exclusive bag filled with attractive “Giveaways“. In order to have enough space for the event, we rented the DRK clubhouse in Bissendorf-Jeggen, which offered us generous space. An entertaining obstacle course for the fun games was set up in the parking lot. Here visitors were able to put their driving skills to the test and take advantage of the chance to win great prizes from our generous sponsors - including a high-quality Vespa helmet from the respected Schriewer company.

The obstacle course was given an additional pinch of excitement by a fully functional, old speed camera. After the visitors had completed the course, the speed camera offered the opportunity to take a souvenir photo if they exceeded a certain speed limit. For those who wanted even more snapshots of themselves and their Vespas, another flash unit was available that flashed along a marked route.

Another highlight was the Custom Show, in which each scooter was evaluated for its individual beauty and uniqueness. A homemade cell phone holder received the coveted trophy as an award at this show.

Of course, the physical well-being was also well taken care of. From bratwurst and delicious salads to tempting cakes and fragrant coffee – no one had to stay hungry. Given the scorching 35 degrees on this sunny day, our chilled soft drinks were particularly popular.

To live up to the spirit of Vespa, a refreshing 50 kilometer ride was organized at lunchtime. In case of emergency, a breakdown vehicle was available on the festival grounds, which fortunately was not needed.

After the exit, the winners were ceremoniously honored with generous prizes Prizes from our supporting sponsors. At this point we would like to thank all of our sponsors from the bottom of our hearts. You helped make this day an unforgettable event. Dallmann, Salon Dostal, The Village Shop, VGH, Small & Fine, Schriewer, Louis, SIP, Atelier Hartmann, Scooter Center.

A special thank you also goes to our valued visitors, the hard-working helpers, the speed camera collectors and the committed members of the DRK association. Without your support, this day would not have been able to shine in its full glory.

So this wonderful day, filled with lively petrol conversations and exciting activities, unfortunately came to an end far too quickly. Many thanks again to everyone who helped make this day an unforgettable experience.”

The Vesparaba 2023 of the Vespa Club Vitoria took place on October 7th with great success. Fito shared with us this great experience on the beautiful streets of Vitoria-Gasteiz.

This year's Vesparaba 07.10.2023 outing took place in Vitoria-Gasteiz on Saturday October 2023th, XNUMX.

Held by the organizer Vespa Club Vitoria with the kind support of the municipality of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Alava province. As well as that Vespa Club Spain.

After meeting at the “Plaza de la Provincia” and having breakfast, we set off with just over 100 Vespas and Lambrettas.

The approximately 100km trip during which we felt like we crossed several weather zones, fog, rain and bright sunshine, in and around the area around Vitoria-Gasteiz was very beautiful.

After the exit, we had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious three-course menu in the Zapirón restaurant as well as the draw and distribution of trophies (most beautiful Lambretta and Vespa in original condition, furthest journey, etc.) as well as the merchandising items that we received from, among other things Scooter Center have received to distribute,

At this point we would like to thank you on behalf of the club Scooter Center thank you.

We are really looking forward to more beautiful trips

Many greetings and always have a good trip

Surrounded by friends, helpers, supporters, family and committed club members, there was celebration in the Tiki Bar and at the night with live music.

With the idea of VWD 23 Visiting Switzerland had been on our minds for a long time, but only decided the day before, and Platónika and I set off from Cologne to Interlaken to finally do what Platónika was created for: Attending events and telling stories.

Day 1 on the way to the Vespa World Days 2023

Being a scooter with absolutely everything "new" (2021), it did not require major maintenance, nevertheless it is not superfluous, at least one spare, Olive oil, Train set Universal and spark plug to have.

After work at 18:30 I set off and after five and a half hours of motorway driving and 442km I arrived in Freiburg to meet Vespistas who were on the road.

And one of the problems with going out at night is the lack of light, but the LED headlights make a big difference.

Day 2 Interlaken country road

Already again with the Warrior Scooter Club united, we decided to drive the remaining 180 km through the beautiful countryside to Interlaken.

Each club has its own history and I had the opportunity to know first hand clubs I never thought I would know: Vespa Club Hong Kong, Russia, Thailand and many others where I also found the honor, my beloved Vespa Club Colombia to represent!

We couldn't go empty-handed in the hunt for souvenirs, so we renewed the passion of some who have followed us closely over these 30 years and gained new enthusiasts!

Meeting friends, making new friends, representing Colombia at the presidential meeting for the first time, expanding my collection of treasures and, above all, strengthening the relationship of trust with Platónika are just a few of the many experiences that I remember.

but the return trip will be less and less fun. Almost 9 hours on the Autobahn home. Even though I have the best speed I've ever had! (I drive almost 120 km/h continuously) 🤩

Thank you everyone for this great experience!

Race report for the 4th round of the EST 2022 in Juvaincourt from 03.09/04.09.2022/XNUMX to XNUMX/XNUMX/XNUMX

After a six-week summer break, it's finally time for the scooter racing circuit to start again
PitBikes of the EST Championships. This time the EST was a guest in Juvaincourt – France. The route with a
Length of 1,3 km is particularly fast and demanding and popular with many drivers. And so they did
more than 100 starters on their way to France. With a view to the championship, it was now the
Engage attack mode to score valuable points for the final scoring.
There was a big setback in the weather on Saturday. After the first showers on Friday over the
swept the route, Saturday remained completely rainy until the afternoon. Not a good chance of good ones
lap times. Real racers can't throw something like that off track. Despite the adverse conditions
it was about getting a good starting position in the front field.
The results of the weekend by class:

Class 1 - Rookies by Scooter-Attack:

High tension at the beginning of the start of the rookies. Hüskes in an unusual third place, did it
during the warm-up it was clear that he wanted to be at the top. Didwissus on pole wanted to prevent this as well
like Urban and Winterscheidt. The starting winner was Didwissus. Hüskes fought his way up to second place and sat
to attack Didwissus immediately. With a lot of excess power, he managed this confidently in round 2.
Winterscheidt tried to keep up, but was inferior in terms of performance. Didwissus was across the field
passed. The battle for 3rd place was between Klas and Groß. In round 8 had to
Give up Winterscheidt with a technical defect. That put Groß in 2nd place ahead of the sovereign
driving Huskes. Hüskes won easily in front of a strong Gross followed by Klas.
In the second race, Hüskes again took the lead in the field. Urban followed him at a short distance,
but tried to keep up. The distance from large to urban was already significantly larger. But big had to
also be careful to the rear, because Ebeling and Piekatz were lurking there for your chance. During this secured
Hüskes sovereign his lead over Urban. The next challenge lay in lapping the last-placed.
Hüskes and Urban did it perfectly. Groß had significantly more problems and had to place Ebeling in 3rd place
let it pass. His scooter kept getting better and better. Ebeling burned one personal best after the other
Asphalt and grabbed Urban. Hüskes won easily as the first in front of Ebeling and Urban.

Day class 1 - Rookies by Scooter-Attack

1. #47 Sascha Hüskes 50 pts.
2. #265 Patrick Ebeling 33 pts.
3. #636 René Groß 31 pts.

Class 2 - SuperSport by Deutscher Bauservice

Right from the start, Drath passed Apostel and led the SuperSport. Triebs fought with Apostel
the second place. With excess speed in lap 5 on the start-finish, both went into the first
Curve. Triebs misbraked slightly and had to let Apostel go and was also conceded by De Wit.
Triebs with better speed countered immediately and was able to win both drivers again in the following lap
overtake. Drath didn't manage to extend his lead. Triebs felt that something was going and set Drath
negative pressure. A super exciting four-way battle continued. De Wit was able to overtake Apostle and was already there
in the slipstream of Triebs and Drath. Everyone was waiting for a mistake. Drath fought like a lion. Yet
Triebs had more power and so what had been indicated throughout the laps happened. Triebs pulled the wire inside
over. He now had to keep De Wit in check. De Wit drove smart and waited for his chance. De Wit came

Vespa rally

The inspiration for the name of the scooter goes back to Tessa seeing the scooters from Burnley and Pendle Scooter Club riding round the town where she lived and that scooter Club had the patch inspired from the trials of the Pendle Witches in 1612. The 70s and the scooter scene back then are the inspiration and that is also the reason why a Vespa Rally 180 with electronic ignition had been chosen. With Tessa's and Lee's connections they traced down info about how the period scooters of the Burnley and Pandle scooters looked, had been painted, what accessories had been fitted and even reproduced the wooden rear shield and club patches.

Loom: Matthias Scherer bought the engine along with the cooler, hoses, water pump, etc. and installed it in the current frame.
The complete vehicle had then completed a number of acceleration races along with test bench runs and scooter meetings.
I was lucky enough to be able to purchase the almost complete vehicle in a disassembled state three years ago.
At the beginning of 2022 Ronny and I (Scoot Devils/Smallframe-Factory) then started to restore them in such a way that it corresponds to the current DBM rules, it was clear to us from the start that the Scauri/Scherer belonged back on the track.
So we had to make a few cuts and couldn't restore it quite like the two Rollershops.
But I think we managed to maintain a high recognition value.

TV 175 Series / BSG305

This TV175 Series 2 was finished in time by Rimini Lambretta Center for the Weekender. Their customer 'Mad Farmer' requested a 60's Custom scooter, with a huge modern slant. So combined is a RLC resto' but with lots of his ideas that needed to bring to life. Basically the paintjob goes along the lines of a 60's racing car in Aston Martin colours, Lambretta logos reworked with a 'Norton' font, centrally mounted hinged tank and a BSG305 engine to power the show. Both petrol tanks are custom made and are linked. The 39mm Dell'Orto carb on a BSG engine has an unusual exit point (behind the kickstart side engine mount) and an extended toolbox has been made to give a few more liters. Too many details to list them all here like Serveta Wintermodel mudguard with chrome crest to match with the paintjob, magic and secret Lucas brackets for legshield fitting, mechanically Rev Counter has started, lots of bling bling treatment and list goes on…

Lambretta #24 Dupont GP500Z Racer

Tags: Lambretta and Kawasaki 4-stroke technology on each other. One could certainly argue about whether the Li3 frame or the frame of a Kawasaki GPZ500S form the starting point. In order to get the rear frame of the Kawasaki under the frame loop and side panels of the Lambretta, the loop was lengthened by 13 cm and widened by 4 cm at the front. But in such a way that an original rear light still fits. The original GPZ swingarm was shortened accordingly and the translation shortened. The hoods have been adapted to the new frame dimensions and are now held with Aerocatch fasteners from automobile racing. The tank (12L capacity) sits in the fairing lower and was a PX glove box in a previous life. It is filled via a Newton tank cap and the fuel is supplied via a Hardi pump, which has found its new home under the front fender. Shifting takes place via a Translogic power shifter, with the clutch only being required for starting off. Everything from Motogadget was installed once and Marek's #24 would probably be a more than perfect demonstrator for them.

Motor: The 60 horses should be enough for 190 km/h plus easy. The double disc from Casa Performance is used for deceleration at the front and the seat comes from Weitweit Gar.

Ten inch terror

Ten inch terror

A Bajaj and three PX battle frames, a few motorcycle parts and a Husqvarna Motorcycles WR 360 engine were the ingredients for the incredible projectile that saw the light of day in 2015 after five years of construction. Electrics and instrumentation come from Motogadget and much of it can be found in and on the slightly dropped handlebars. The glove compartment acts as a tank and holds 14 liters. The flip rear is attached with eight screws, the lying shock absorber is controlled via a deflection. The bench was self-made and Marek's favorite upholsterer Alex was purchased from Weitweit Gar.
Motor: The engine was refined by Marek with a Canonized exhaust and a combustion chamber developed by Overrev, among other things, and now delivers 55 hp / 45 Nm to the 6-speed gearbox. Shifting is via an electric power shifter without a clutch. A full-wave controller was installed so that the on-board network can handle the additional load, and the alternator and the electrics were completely converted to DC.
