Also this year we present you the VESPARABA, the route through Álava on Vespa or Lambretta, which is organized by Vespa Club Vitoria in collaboration with the Diputación Foral de Álava and the Scooter Center is organized.

In this way, VESPARABA is advertised on the Internet, in social networks, on posters and flyers.

On October 5, the day of the Vesparaba 2024, the Plaza de la Provincia in Vitoria-Gasteiz was filled with colour and sound thanks to the 140 Vespas and Lambrettas that arrived from the neighbouring provinces of Vizcaya, Guipúzcoa, Logroño, Burgos and Navarra, as well as from Barcelona, Madrid and Asturias.

A 100 km route to visit La Rioja.

The participants had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery, the smell of two-stroke engines and extensive discussions about mechanics, motorcycles and fuel, etc.

At ten o'clock the tour began, which began with Puerto de Vitoria, Bernedo, Puerto de la Aldea, Laguardia and finally Elciego, where we had lunch. The route and the landscape are impressive, with vineyards along the roadsides and the special smell of earth and wine.

The return trip to Vitoria via Leza and the first-class Puerto de Herrera with gradients of 14% put all the scooters to the test. Once in Vitoria, there was a brotherly meal and the distribution of prizes and gifts.

Many thanks to Adolfo and the whole club for sending us the photos and for letting us share in this experience.

To Vesparaba 2025!

The opening race of the international Lambretta Offroad Cup in Frankenthal was a complete and resounding success in every respect! The focus was on fun and the Lambretta's performance capabilities were impressively confirmed.

The idea was presented by JP-Corse's Jürgen Pippig at the LCD's AGM in Wipperfürth in 2023. And at the end of September, the international starting field of twelve teams will be doing pioneering work. They drove for six hours straight on a full-fledged MotoX track according to national specifications. In comparison, a normal race lasts just over 15 minutes. And in this case with vehicles designed for this purpose, it is all the more impressive.

The European Scooter Trophy has generated excitement in recent years with its exciting races.

The reports provide detailed information about the prestigious events, including exciting race results, the challenging courses and the impressive performances of the riders. From intense competition to spectacular overtaking maneuvers, each race was a thrilling event, with the best scooter riders from across Europe battling for victory.

Race report for the 5th round of the EST 2024 in Wittgenborn from 07.08- 08.09.2024

Last weekend, the Vogelsbergring in Wittgenborn was the focus of the thrilling final races of this year's European Scooter Trophy (EST) and European Pitbike Trophy. Europe's best drivers fought for the decisive championship points in the final meters. A unique atmosphere of excitement, adrenaline and passion for motorsport filled the air as the machines roared for the last time this season. The changeable weather did the rest and presented the drivers with additional challenges on the technically demanding track. Each race had its own dynamic, and new heroic stories were written in each class.

Class 1 – Rookies by Scooter Attack

In the first race of the rookies class, Niklas Altmeppen missed the perfect start, but his talent showed as the race progressed. While Collin maintained the lead, Altmeppen continually caught up and fought his way back. But ultimately Collin was able to defend his lead and won ahead of Altmeppen and Matthias Delle.

The second race promised even more drama. Collin and Altmeppen had an intense duel, which ended with Collin falling because he couldn't handle the pressure. Altmeppen took advantage of the opportunity and took the lead. Behind him, Brygala and Delle fought for second place, with Brygala coming out on top in the end.

Daily ranking Class 1:

  1. Niklas Altmeppen (45 points)
  2. Louis Brygala (33 points)
  3. Matthias Delle (32 points)

Class 2 - SuperSport by Deutscher Bauservice

The race in the SuperSport class was stopped after a dramatic fall by Hermann. He slipped on an oil slick left by a previously broken vehicle, but luckily suffered no serious injuries. After the restart, Sascha Sperling confidently took the lead, followed by Niklas Diabelez. Third place went to Thönnissen, who benefited from the problems of other drivers.

Daily ranking Class 2:

  1. Sascha Sperling (50 points)
  2. Niklas Diabelez (40 points)
  3. Federico Vanore (29 points)

Class 3 - Expert by Scooter-Attack

The Expert class offered exciting battles for position, especially between Andreas Lukas and Gras. Gras led the field in the first race, but Lukas remained stubbornly on his heels. Stefan Schnelle secured third place with a consistent performance after winning the duel against Schmitt.

In the second race, Lukas had to finish the race to win the championship, while Schnelle and Schmitt were tied for second place. Gras, who played no role in the championship, put Lukas under pressure, but he was undeterred and took the lead. Schmitt's technical problems caused him to fall back, while Schnelle crashed and had to fight his way back to the front. In the end, however, it was Lukas who won the race and took the day's victory.

Daily ranking Class 3:

  1. Andreas Lukas (45 points)
  2. Carsten Schmitt (33 points)
  3. Stefan Durchner (25 points)

Class 4 - Supramatic & BigBore

In the first race, the Supramatic class was doomed by a technical defect in Lukas' vehicle, when his radiator burst and made the track impassable. After the restart, Yannik Ong drove confidently to victory, as his pursuers Daniel Lövenich and Markus Dürr had no chance of catching up.

Daily ranking Class 4:

  1. Yannik Ong (50 points)
  2. Daniel Lövenich (33 points)
  3. Markus Dürr (32 points)

Class 5 - PitBike Stock by Scooter-Attack

Florian Geiger showed a masterful performance in the first race and won comfortably. Behind him, Schweitzer and Gras fought for the other podium places, with Schweitzer coming in second.

In the second race, a strange incident caused a stir: Geiger drove with the wrong transponder and thus started outside the classification. Nevertheless, he delivered a spectacular duel with Schweitzer at the front. Daniel Arnold secured second place after Koch fell after an overtaking maneuver by Schweitzer. Collin Münch finally finished the race in third place.

Daily ranking Class 5:

  1. Florian Schweitzer (45 points)
  2. Daniel Arnold (33 points)
  3. Collin Münch (26 points)

Grade 6 - GP Open

In the first race of the GP Open class, Schäfer caused a stir when he brought down both Florence and himself. Weißensee came out on top, followed by Lesch and Van t Hof.

The second race was much calmer, and this time Schäfer was able to confidently maintain his lead, followed by Weißensee and Lesch.

Grade 7 - Beginners

In the Beginners class, Justin Kräutler secured the day's victory with a consistent performance. His brother Marco Kräutler followed closely behind, while Marcel Edinger took third place on the podium.

Daily ranking Class 7:

  1. Justin Kräutler (25 points)
  2. Marco Kräutler (20 points)
  3. Marcel Edinger (16 points)

Class 8 – Endurance

The endurance race became a real battle of materials. In the end, Nibbi's team narrowly prevailed and took the win, followed by the RND Racing Team and Buenos.

Daily ranking Class 8:

  1. Nibbi (192 laps)
  2. RND Racing Team / AKRAcing (192 laps)

  2. Mieze Tom Dick Racing (195 laps)
  3. XPear Factory Team (192 laps)

With these exciting and eventful races, the 2024 season of the European Scooter Trophy and European Pitbike Trophy ended on a high note. Drivers and fans can already look forward to the coming season, in which thrilling duels and new heroes are sure to await us again.

More race reports from previous years

Although we feared the drop in temperature the week before #OpenDaySC, the sun shone all day and accompanied hundreds of petrol calls. It was a great day. As always, we met the #RealScooteristswho are part of this community. We were especially happy to see so many young people who are renewing the scene, and also old friends who Scooter Center for over 30 years.

In addition to our Open Day classics such as free use of the test bench and the large private and SC parts market, there were some other great program items and many new exhibitors.

Product development

Our product development opened its doors in the workshop to show projects and answer questions about bgm shock absorber and to present new products for the Vespa GTS etc. Most people particularly liked the fact that we are also working on a GTS drop handlebar that we want to offer with a TÜV certificate. This was not only about our own brand, but also about the latest developments such as the Egig Motor.

Merchandising stand

Thanks to the positive response, the SC merchandising stand and the photo booth have now become an integral part of the SC Open Days.

When it came to merchandise, our new #RealScooterist sticker and of course the limited Open Day T-shirts are in great demand. All other proceeds from merchandise sales go to “Halfway through the bar” to support scooter riders who have had accidents.

Greetings to Everell!

Photo box

At the nuclear Photo box Around 64 scooters and their drivers showed up. Most of them – as expected – were Vespas. Followed by 13 Piaggio mopeds, 7 automatics, 6 Lambrettas and 2 Royal Alloys. All of them will be presented in detail in the blog and the pictures will be available for download.

If your scooter has been photographed, don’t forget to send an email to marketing@scooter-center.com with your name, the type of scooter you have and anything you can tell us about it. We will send you back the email with the high resolution pictures.

Test stand

And here is the calm before the storm, as usual the test bench was crowded as we had a lot of early risers who immediately joined the queue. Over 50 runs in 6 hours made for ringing ears.

The most powerful scooter delivered Scooter clinic with his Runner 2T with over 50hp
And this year defended Rene Klein the title of CIAO with more horsepower. Last year it was 10 hp and this year it is 11,4 hp.

Shopping at the parts market

A highlight was undoubtedly the visit of Michael Zinnen, whose Vespas not only look good, but also do kilometers: A whole bunch came from Aachen to Scooter Center and we were able to get some of them in the photo booth in front of Niko's lens.

Another fine edition of the ScooterLiada Rally from Liadas Scooter Club (LSC) under the Asturian clouds and rain brought together vintage Vespa and Lambretta owners from different places. This year the event was only open to historic vehicles for the first time. A very nice bunch of machines, one more exceptional than the other. Participants came not only from different places in Asturias, but even from Pontevedra, Ciudad Real, La Coruña, Badajoz and Orense!

We met with our Lambrettas and Vespas in Plaza de Europa of Piedras Blancas, near the town hall. From 11.30am we set off on a quick tour of some neighboring places, enjoyed an aperitif at Mesonín de Tere and had a wonderful lunch at Hotel Arias Aeropuerto, before the big awards ceremony and a raffle started at 17.30pm. We had the pleasure of welcoming Toño Feijoo from Tourism and Vespa that covered our event.

Also present was the Vespa Club de España (Vespa Club of Spain), Alfonso Murciego, its president encouraged people to collaborate with next Vespa World Days to be held in Spain, Asturias (Gijón 1-4 May 2025).

The 12th ScooterLiada offered a huge program that ended at 22.00pm after a live performance by the local band Gemtonics (funk and soul covers).

“It went very, very well! We had about 75 scooter riders and 95 people for luch, which met our highest expectations. Our goal this year -and once again- was to gather fans and admirers of the scooter scene from home and abroad to share wonderful emotions and experiences with them”

Mino Suarez.

“As I say pretty much every year, we couldn't do something like this without people like you. Our event is getting better and better and we really appreciate the support you guys have given us this year. Thanks to you guys at Scooter Center, this little scooter group in the community remains pretty strong and isn't going away anytime soon. On behalf of Liada’s Scooter Club and our many participants this year, I want to thank you!”

Javier Perez.

Thank you Javier and Liadas Scooter Club for sharing the photos, for your words and for thinking of us when organizing the event, greetings and congratulations on all that has been achieved!

Colombia has a very short history in the Vespista and Lambretta world, if compared to any European Club, but it has adopted all this culture in the best way, appropriating it and potentiating the creation of fraternity through its meetings.

ENIMC

There is an annual celebration that brings together all the country's Vespa and Lambretta riders, a tradition that began in 2004 and since 2010 has adopted the acronym ENM (Encuentro Nacional de Motonetas) for inclusion with the umbrella name of all scooters with handlebar shifters and flat floor that are part of the culture (Vespas, LML, Bajaj and Lambrettas).

La Mesa, Cundinamarca

As a country with a large territory, the choice of location is always crucial. This year, 2024, the aim was to hold an international (Latin American) meeting, so the 18th edition was held last 16th and 19th August in La Mesa, Cundinamarca, two hours from Bogota, the country's capital.

This allowed delegations from Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela and El Salvador to participate.

Antonio Andrade traveled thousands of kilometers on his Vespa PX from Peru to visit the Vespa friends he made last year and then to attend the meeting, where he met more than 200 Vespa and Lambretta drivers.

Activities

The Vespa Club Bogota (with roots in the “Classic Scooter Group”) is the second oldest club in the country (2005), after the Vespa Club Medellin (founded in 1999), which with roots in the Vespa Club Antioquia gives its first glimpses at the end of the 60's. Clubs that hand in hand started the tradition of meetings in the country, along with the different activities that compose it.

The Vespa

The “VCB” (Vespa Club Bogota) has been characterized by its insitutionality, which has given solidity to the various clubs. Despite all this rigour, the VCB never forgets to have fun and is the official organizer of La Vesparada, a track designed with the exact turning radius of our scooters to test the different driving skills.

The Imperdibles (The Must-Sees)

An idea that emerged last year and now in its second version, is a contest that rewards the best “Motonetas” of the event in different categories.

Yellow Move

An activity proposed by the interesting community of all yellow Vespas @yellowsquad, which consisted of a competition to test balance, drawing and memory skills, with a prize of an original 3D paper puzzle.

Vespas in Colombia

The Vespa market in Colombia is very different, with two crucial points:

The economic opening in the 90's that gave rise to the import of Vespas PX and T5 in the country, with entry mainly through Medellin and Cali and whose volume was not sufficient to sustain a representation and demand for spare parts, so their maintenance and the acquisition of parts has developed the creativity and recursion very characteristic Colombian.

The second crucial point was the official representation of Vespas in the country with the arrival of the Modern Vespa, representation that is currently in the hands of "The Coaches", but it is the SXL and VLX from India that fill the streets, Vespas that do not exist on the European market, which again means a challenge in the acquisition of spare parts.

Super Motori

One of Scooter Center's main distributors in the country is Super Motori, whose accurate knowledge of spare parts helps Scooter Center to offer parts specifically designed for Colombia's unique needs.

Special thanks to Miguel, Lorena and Javier, who make Scooter Center cross borders and contribute to the maintenance and preservation of this passion.

We leave you with the words of Miguel:

"For us it is more than gratifying to bring Scooter Center in some way to Colombia and even Latin America, having access to spare parts is what allows us to help the conservation and preservation of scooters is possible, but also to give love to the modern Vespa that are certainly booming today and as we would say here in Colombia 'play with them' because we believe that every scooter has a piece of its owner and this is always transmitted, is its essence.

All that remains for all of us in the Super Motori team is to thank you for your support, for always being ready and willing.

Remember #todossomossupermotori."

Timeline of Motoneta's national meetings in Colombia

A MOTORCYCLE, A EXCUSE
Hoy queremos contarles de un evento que sin duda alguna es an imperdible de cada año y es que acabamos de celebrar el 18º Encuentro Nacional e Internacional de Motonetas en Colombia, el cual se dio desde el 16 al 19 de Agosto en un municipio de Colombia llamado The Mesa departamento de Cundinamarca, ubicada a tan solo 2 horas de Bogotá the capital of the país; It was organized by the organization of this event with no reunions of 200 motorcycles from all over Colombia, including the participation of delegates from Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Venezuela and El Salvador. All in one for the misma pasion y con algo en común: 'el amor por las motonetas', the excusa perfecta para deleitarnos un fin de semana, rodeados de un clima cálido, las risas por doquier, la camaradería, el volver a ver a quienes We don't have the latest version, or simply conocere a different approach to the original question, which you will learn from the routine and compare.
siempre aprender. The first prize for the event is a cargo of 4W together with other patrocinadores who have a Vespa moderna 0 km, personalized for the taller Container Garage with an exclusive, high quality.
But you can also drive a modern Vespa that you can see through the eyes of the people and as they come to Colombia 'juguetearlas' can help you learn how to ride the motorcycle and have a child and it is transmitted, it is so important .
Solo nos queda desde todo el equipo de Súper Motori agradecerles por apoyarnos, por estar siempre prestos y dispuestos. Recuerden que #todossomossupermotori.”

International 6-hour off-road endurance race in Frankenthal / Germany on Lambretta

In September, the start of an international off-road race on the Lambretta will take place in Frankenthal. The idea was presented by JP-Corse's Jürgen Pippig at the LCD's AGM in Wipperfürth in 2023. The feedback is sensational, not only considering the fact that it is the opening event.

What?      International 8-hour race on an off-road track, of course in a team only for Lambretta.

When?    20. - 22. September 2024

Where?        AMC Frankenthal

How?       Absolutely LOW-BUDGET. In contrast to the asphalt races, the financial outlay should be kept as low as possible.

This is something you shouldn't miss, at least as a spectator. The starting field is truly international. Teams from Belgium, Spain, England, Austria, Ireland, France and of course Germany have already registered.

Here are the impressions of the first track test in August 2023:

The off-road terrain at a glance:

The Vespa stroll is the traditional event of the Vespa Clubs Freiburg, which was founded in the early 1950s and existed until the early 60s.

According to an original plaque of the former club and documents in the VCVD The idea was born to revive this legend and to re-establish the club in 2019 with its Vespa stroll event, this time in the beautiful landscape of the Kaiserstuhl.

Around 100 participants with international participation on a route of 140 km. Even though it rained a little at the end, the event came to a worthy conclusion with an awards ceremony and a party!

We congratulate the organizers and wish you many more years of such wonderful events.

In the words of the organizers:

“A big thank you also to our Sponsors and supporters, without you we would not have been able to create this perfect stroll in 2024(…).

With Vespist greetings, Your Board of the Vespa Club Freiburg eV

We had the opportunity to sponsor the event from June 28th to 30th, a rally that included two nights' accommodation (in a hotel in Dobbiaco), breakfast, lunch and dinner, various gadgets, entrance tickets, assistance and luggage transport.

We thank Bruno for the photos and share one of the most beautiful moments here.

Last 21-23 June  Canada Vespa Days were celebrated in Kingston, Ontario! This event was the first National Vespa event in Canadian History – or at least that anyone in attendance knew about! And Scooter Center was a proud sponsor!

Tickets were limited to 120 members of any official National Vespa Club. The event was sold out months ago! And almost 90 Vespas were proudly parked for everyone to see!

On behalf of the Vespa Club Canada (VCC), Jeff Schneider, President, and Julie welcomed all participants, who were happy to register, pick up their goodie bags and to check out the merchandise for sale.

Although this year's Vespa World Days could not be held there as planned, VC Canada proved that it could make it a truly international meeting. Participants arrived not only from coast to coast across Canada, coming from Comox and Vancouver, British Columbia to Halifax, Nova Scotia, riders also came from the United States, Germany, Austria, Italy/Peru, and even the Philippines.

Participants were able to sign up for various rides, including a quick scoot around the town of Kingston, a ferry ride to see Wolfe Island by scooter, a ride along the St. Lawrence River to Brockville where riders were met by a local historian who explained the importance of Canada's first Railway Tunnel, as well as a scoot through the twists and turns of the countryside and a group lunch on one of the area's lakes. There were also group boat cruises through the waters connecting the 1000 Islands and a ride to a local brewery housed in a farm owned and operated by the same family for 8 generations. A gala dinner, complete with raffle prizes and a silent auction, concluded the first Canada Vespa Days event!

Scooter Center was invited, but this time we could only make our presence felt through some raffle prizes and silent auction items, as well as adding some items to the participant goodie bags. Until the next event…!

The innovative Vespa mobile phone holder is Made in Germany by Wulf & Berger and was specially developed for the metal leg shields of all Vespa classics.

Can be combined with any commercially available handlebar-mounted mobile phone holder.

SOLID
The W&B cell phone holder is made of solid aluminum plates. These are lasered and hand-welded in a German company. The very successful appearance is reminiscent of the thrust levers of old airplanes.

STEADFAST
The holder is fixed to the inside of the leg shield using 3x extra-strong neodymium magnets. The flexible suspension guarantees perfect adaptation to the slightly curved, convex leg shield shape.
With a load capacity of 12 kg each, the holder can cope with any driving situation, even uneven gravel roads are no problem.

GENTLE
The magnets are rubberized, the paint stays like new!

CLEVER
The mounting position inside the leg shield allows for particularly good readability of the display, as the leg shield shields the sun.
This means you always have a clear view of the display.

MOBIL
Thanks to the magnets, the holder can be realigned, removed or attached to another vehicle at any time.

VARIANTS
The holder is available in two versions:
Etched aluminum, ideal for vehicles with patina
Powder-coated in elegant black fine structure
