Being part of the Scooter Center team means to work with great people. Better than working is riding!
On my left and right side at the office, I have passionate Lambretta aficionados. Therefore, it probably was only a matter of time before I ride with one of them. In this case with her, but she is not just any girl, she is Yoleila (at Facebook) or Julia.
She is the president of the Lambretta Club Germany, scooter racer, almost a collector, crazy for the original scooters and parts, graphic designer and I could keep going…
That is, why, we interview her, to listen to those stories that we love to hear.
As a result, a very exciting project is to be started,
stay tuned until the end to find out where it is all about ;)

We have new tool bags from MOTO NOSTRA on offer – and as usual at these times, today we have a product presentation from the home office!
Retro Style Tool Bag| Waxed Canvas
For e.g. classic cars and oldtimers who want to be stylish with their tool storage, we offer this practical tool roll. Of course, they also go great with a modern Vespa GTS or even a motorbike. Robust tool bag made of Waxes Canvas, a hard-wearing and water-repellent material. The tool bag has 5 spacious compartments with large sturdy zips. So the tools stay where you put them. The many compartments create order and offer quick access in an emergency. When rolled up, the bag can be securely closed with a wide strap and sturdy clip and compressed to be as handy as possible. The bag has three handles and two eyelets for fastening or hanging. Available in brown and black and soon also pre-packed with model-specific tools.

In this video Alex introduces you to the bgm CLASSIC tire, a modern tire with a classic tread pattern for scooters. So don’t be irritated by the tread: at first sight the tread is not to be distinguished from the Vespa & Lambretta original equipment tyres of the 60s, but the tyre is not only something to “drive in front of the ice-cream parlour with the oldtimer”.
Thanks to modern tire development Made in Germany and high quality components, the bgm CLASSIC is a very performant tire for all life situations in lean angles, which is clearly visible in its speed release of up to 150km/h and the Reinforced marking.

Scooter Center representation with BGM booth on Eurolambretta
That was an appropriate 50th anniversary party of LCD (Lambretta Club Germany): Eurolambretta 2016 in Geiselwind!
Of course we have been part of the celebrations and have presented our most current BGM developments to the Lambretta world. Nicest weather attracted many visitors and we met many interested guests at our booth and had great talks with our customers.
We have been present with an advance publication of our new BGM catalogue and a wide range of Lambretta parts. We have been able to help many guests, who had come from far away, at our booth or with our express services and deliveries directly to this location. These are our impressions of the event:
We asked our friends of the Rimini Lambretta Centre to build a BGM cutaway engine as demonstrator for our high quality BGM Lambretta parts.
We supplied all the necessary parts and first of all the team of Dean Orton dismounted all of them and put them in acid for cleaning. 40 hours of work later this masterpiece was accomplished. We would like to share pics and a video with you.
Exhaust -BGM PRO Clubman V3.0- Lambretta series 1-3 – not painted
Item no. BGM2105U3
This is version V3.0 of our BGM PRO Lambretta Big Box. This is a thoroughly revised version of the Lambretta exhaust, which comes with the well-known mechanic muffler version V2, but also with an overall improved insulation. Lowering the exhaust noises even more. Every plug and socket was further developed, overall and in terms of reinforcement. The engine support is one part, which was thoroughly revised. Resulting in a wider range of possible adjustments and perfect adaptation of your scooter / engine setup.
Mark Broadhurst fully exploited his experience in tuning of 2-stroke engines when working on the BIG BOX Clubman. With BigBox, Mark was successful in creating an exhaust, which looks almost like the original Lambretta series 3 exhaust. Mark successfully fitted the performance of an expansion chamber exhaust in the Big Box. Our Clubman is in terms of performance and revs on the same level as the legendary MRB Devtour exhaust, which, sadly, is no longer available. The BGM Lambretta Big Box V3.0 has high torque, a wide range of performance and a very nice development of sound. Many features are part of a series for the first time:
Advantages of Lambretta Big Box V.3.0
Same performance as an expansion chamber exhaust
Low noise level
Larger volume of the exhaust body
More ground clearance
Exhaust manifold for round (TS1 & Co.) and oval (RaceTour, Mugello, standard, …) exhaust stubs
Exhaust stub, manifold and body with spring suspension
All neuralgic spots are reinforced
Suspension as for racing exhausts for perfect and stress free assembly
Can be removed without detaching neither the footboard to the right nor cylinder cowling
An overall well-conceived design that works
Gloves for mechanic works on scooters:
Fine knitted glove BGM Pro-tection
The back of the glove is breathable, which grants special comfort.
100% nylon fine-knitted for perfect fit.
A PU layer grants perfect grip and high sense of touch and protects palms against dirt and oil.
Perfect for works that demand high protection and sense of touch respectively.
Scooter auxiliary stand Affordable adaptors individually available for Lambretta and Vespa Smallframe
Additional brackets for the auxiliary stand for Vespa V2 -PX GARAGE Nienburg- are now available for Vespa Smallframe (V50 / PV / ET3) and Lambretta (S3).
Scooter auxiliary stand for Vespa Largefame, Smallframe and Lambretta
Offering reliable stability and flexible working at your scooter. You need the following:
The additional brackets for the auxiliary stand are affordable and assembled easily, quickly and safely.
Bracket Vespa V50
The bracket is easy to use for Vespa Smallframe V50 / Primavera / ET3 etc. and prevents your scooter from tipping over unintended.
Another option is to fasten the bracket to the frame strut. This probably is the best choice for works that demand more force.
Adaptor for Lambretta series 3
The bracket for the rear end of the Lambretta is rather small, which means that the bracket can remain attached to the vehicle.
The frame hides the bracket well.
The auxiliary stand and a tight screwing guarantee reliable stability for your Lambretta.
Due to a lifted rear, even works on foot board or exhaust turn out to be easier.
Thanks to the additional bracket for Vespa Smallframe and Lambretta, you do not need to modify the auxiliary stand and you can still use it for almost any classic scooter at any time.

Still mostly no snow yet: Cold. Wet. Winter. Your scooter is likely to spend the winter in the dark garage or in the grim cellar.
It is just before Christmas – but that comforts the real Scooterist who does not really hide the fact that the time now is not the best time for scooter riding! In this deeply melancholic time we want to give you the scooter riders hope and show light at the end of the long winter tunnel.
Over 7 bridges shall you go to get the seven tips to get over this winter:
1. Motivations video
2. Summer is certainly on its way
Things are improving: Today is the shortest day of the year – that is, the worst is over and summer is coming! How about a new Vespa cup of hot tea or coffee for as long as the summer is slow in its coming. It would also be great to have a new Vespa bath towel ready when summer finally is there – and it also makes one feel good in the sauna during the thumping waiting time.
3. And now become a Scooter Superhero
Get your scooter out of the basement right now and make it a custom project for the SCOOTERSHOW’15! Again, this is the genuine Scooter Customshow 2015 on 21.03.2015 in Cologne
4. The appearance can be misleading
Your motto is more of “Chrome won´t bring you home”? Right now is the best time for an engine revision of your scooter. Using the Scooter Center exploded drawings you can find spare parts for your scooter quickly and easily! Choose here the scooter model or visit all exploded drawings.
5. Let it shine
And then something about the look: Paint care with our new ROTWEISS paint care products
6. Hard Scooter Boys
You don’t know about what I am writing here? Are you always enjoying your scooter through the whole year? My tip:bgm PRO stainless steel rims and good winter tyres. With these on you just go everywhere: Sticky has raced through the desert having the Vespa rims.
7. Christmas with friends
By now – along with the desert theme – you should already be getting a bit warmer. But let us return to the harsh reality: Winter. Christmas! So to also leave some sense of Christmas spirit, you can look for bargains in our Advent Calendar (TIP: also retroactively) and win a super cool Bell Custom 500 Jet Helmet!
We wish you a terrific Christmas time with friends and family!
SCOOTER CENTER was glad to visit the 1st Italian Customshow in Riva del Garda.
A nice place associated with scenic landscapes, nice roads around the lake itself. Something you could really enjoy. Something we have seen at least while arriving and leaving. The rest of the time we have spend doing the Scooter Center stall at the Customshow and enjoying the weekend at the Do’s.
The Customshow was organized by Italian’s umbrella organization SIR and local club Corsi di Alpi. It took place together with the car and bike show “Motorissma” and the Customshow had a massive hall downstairs. If you would have landed there by accident no one would get the idea that it was the first time for a scooter Customshow in Italy. Roughly 60 scooters were on display. There were more Lambrettas on show and the quality of the work was higher as well. Uncommon for us was that the show took place on two days. But even better so we had two Nighters for relaxing.
