These are the Jack fox Oil pans with sight glass for the older Vespa GTS models until around 2019, recognizable by the filler neck directly on the oil pan.

Never run out of oil again

If you follow the forums, you have probably already noticed one or the other engine failure as a result of a lack of oil.

This practical oil pan is a must for every GTS because it has several advantages. In addition to the spectacular look, the oil pan with sight glass is above all very functional:

  • It enables the oil level to be read off quickly through the oil window
  • With the level of the oil you also have the control whether the engine is horizontal when reading the dipstick, 6mm inclination already make a big difference between MAXIMUM and MINIMAL oil level!
  • In addition to these features, which give you a significant plus in safety, the oil pan is a visual highlight and a bit more individualization on your Vespa GTS!

We get the oil pans directly from Jack foxwho only original Piaggio oil pans used for the renovation. Quality craftsmanship made in Germany!

TIP:

Compare the oil level on the oil sight glass with the oil level on the dipstick, then you will have a feeling for it and can quickly and reliably read off whether you should refill some more oil.

This eliminates the annoying and sometimes complicated and imprecise checking of the oil level using the dipstick. A simple look at the oil sight glass before every trip and you know whether you can start or, better still, add a sip of oil.
It is also noticeable here how important it is that the Vespa is absolutely horizontal when checking the oil level – 6mm inclination make the difference between MAX and MIN.
With this oil pan you are on the safe side!
Only NEW ORIGINAL PIAGGIO oil pans are used for the production, which are laboriously reworked on the CNC milling machine for the installation of the oil sight glass.

Vespa GTS Euro 5 Tuning

Even in the past, the first thing we did with our Vespa was to change the exhaust, and that’s still the case today, and not without good reason! I personally believe that Piaggio has a deal with the tuning manufacturers and therefore always makes the exhaust as ugly as possible. But that’s just a personal assumption… With a new Euro5 GTS, there was no way to get a legal exhaust until now. But now something is happening: we have 3 exhaust systems on offer for you. First of all, there is one thing that applies to exhaust systems with approval: they are essentially optical and sound tuning. Of course, a major change in performance cannot be achieved with these exhaust systems. Therefore, you have the choice: just buy the exhaust that you like best – or that is currently available or fits into your budget… To make it easier for you to choose, we have included pictures of the exhaust systems and the exhaust sound in the videos, which were made available to us by the manufacturer.

The luggage carrier is simply attached to the top of the leg shield with the two brackets and fixed to the frame with the enclosed special angle plate. In addition, the luggage carrier is supported by rubber buffers on the frame and thus offers a very high level of safety. When folded out, the carrier platform has a pleasantly flat angle. Vespa GTS 500

A Vespa GTS 500 is what many GTS riders dream of. An Italian engineer has given it some serious thought and visualised a 500cc model of the GTS, and the YouTube video has been very successful. Every year there is speculation in the scene as to whether Piaggio will bring it this year. Now Björn Dressler from Berlin has beaten Piaggio to the punch. With his project „La Mutata“, Björn is bringing his conversions with up to 44 hp and 492 cc legally onto the road. Before you pull out your wallet: this conversion is not done easily! It takes about 4 months and costs a bit more than most people carry around in their wallets: it starts at 15,000 euros. Marc from Scooteria presents the project „La Mutata“, a converted Vespa GTS 500, in his latest video.

The conversion of a Vespa Gts to a 500 Piaggio engine with German road approval and at least 39 hp! Italian for „The Mutated“ – enables riding performance with a Vespa GTS that is beyond that of a 300. MOTO NOSTRA indicators with dynamic running light for Vespa GTS

The MOTO NOSTRA turn signals have individually controlled LEDs and thus produce a fully dynamic running light, just as one knows it from vehicles in the luxury class (e.g. Audi A7). The generated light effect is very pleasing and offers a pleasant change to conventional turn signals. As an additional feature, the front turn signals have a bright white daytime running light strip in plasma look. At the rear the same technology is used as position light.

WHY LED? MORE SAFETY THROUGH TECHNOLOGY!

Besides this wonderful visual enhancement of the scooter and the possibility to individualize its GTS and thus stand out from the crowd, there is another important point that speaks for these great LED indicators:

This new technology increases the optical width of the rear end in the dark and significantly improves perception in road traffic. The bright LEDs of the turn signals are already clearly visible from a long distance. The running light is also optically better detected than with a conventional turn signal.

Why convert a Vespa GTS oil pan?

It is often the details that make for a successful conversion with a coherent overall concept.

A nice detail of the modern Vespa scooters is for example a black oil pan. We offer you with our MOTO NOSTRA oil pan a brand new original Piaggio – oil pan, which we have provided with a high-quality high-gloss powder coating. The video below shows how the conversion is very easy to do.

 

This GTS oil pan is first prepared for the refinement in a complex way and then professionally processed. The result is an extremely hard-wearing surface with a super look. The sump is of course delivered ready for installation, you have the choice:

The installation is very simple, but there are a few things to consider.

So this is how the conversion works:

  1. Drain oil
  2. Detaching the air filter box
  3. Unscrew vario cover
  4. Unscrew oil pan
  5. Clean sealing surface (knife or fine sandpaper, degrease)
  6. put on a new gasket (without additional sealing compound)
  7. now reassemble in reverse order

Note:

See video above. Use correct screws, replace spring, observe tightening torque: M6 screws oil pan: 10-14Nm.

The Vespa has been a collector’s item since the 50s, and the owner has always liked to individualize it. In the 80s

This allows our Vario to run a much wider range of ratios without the V-belt being able to touch the housing, as is the case with a Malossi Vario. As a result, the bgm Vario can drive a much wider range of ratios without the engine having to turn higher. A huge advantage, especially when the engine needs further tuning.

Engine power directly at the rear wheel

The countless bench and road tests have shown that the 250/300cc Quasar engines do not require a harder or different back pressure spring than the standard one. This means that the entire engine power is not lost in frictional heat but ends up where it belongs: at the rear wheel.

Vespa GTS Variomatic Test

With the Piaggio series variomatic, the engine runs into the governor much earlier. The power is therefore maintained much longer when looking at the speed axis, which is noticeable in a higher final speed.

Compared to the Polini set, the bgm Vario does not work at an artificially increased speed level to get an aha effect. The Polini Vario unfortunately buys its (too) high speed level with a worse efficiency.

Maintaining the same acceleration speed as the standard engine results in our bgm Vario-Kit, so that the engine is not loaded higher and the power output is pleasantly linear. In everyday use the superiority of the bgm Vario-Kit is clearly demonstrated in a direct 1:1 comparison.

Does the Vespa GTS disc also fit on a Vespa HPE?

Our small sport discs with TÜV for the Vespa GTS are very popular. Many owners of the new Vespa HPE wonder if they can mount the great little flyscreen on their new HPE.

The windshield is available in black, tinted and clear with black or with holders in chrome:

Yes! the disc fits on a Vespa HPE – a small modification provided.

Why does the bracket not fit without modification?

The normal mounting kit sits too close to the handlebar fairing on the HPE models.

Solution: Install and adjust the pane now

If you want to install the windscreen on your Vespa HPE right now, it is possible! By a small modification of the clamp on the holder by grinding, milling, the necessary distance to the handlebar fairing can be created here.

However, the expert opinion on the windshield has not yet been extended to the HPE models – but is in progress.

New bracket for Vespa HPE

Of course we have developed a new mounting kit for the GTS HPE!

The HPE bracket kit fits even better from the angle to the headlight and then also has the modified clamps to allow sufficient clearance between the pistons and the handlebar fairing. We are currently unable to give an exact delivery date for the matching pane from HPE, but we expect delivery in the middle of this year.

Vespa Sport Chassis

The COMPETITION series features adjustable spring preload and fully adjustable damping. This allows the chassis to be adjusted to different driver weights/vehicle loads. The damping can be adjusted separately in rebound and compression and thus meets the highest demands.

The abbreviation F16 stands here for front with 16-fold adjustable damping of the compression stage and 44-fold adjustable rebound damping (upper setting wheel).

With the changed Tonrad SPEEDWHEEL from Kübler Racing this is quite simply possible .
The tone wheel is a slotted steel disc on the rear wheel.
This is used to determine the wheel speed for the ASR/ABS control.

REVERATING SPEED LIMITER

Although the Vespa GTS HPE has more power at the rear wheel than its predecessors, the top speed unfortunately does not benefit from it due to an early onset speed limiter. This is partly due to the slightly faster speedometer display. At a real 120km/h the speedometer shows 130km/h already.
From speedometer 130km/h on, however, the on-board electronics regulate consistently.

FINAL SPEED

This is exactly where the new tonewheel from Kübler Racing comes in. What sounds like magic at first is ultimately simple physics. The new tonewheel has a modified geometry which now transmits the exact, real speed to the control electronics. Now the indicated 130km/h are also real 130km/h on the road. The speed limiter therefore also reaches a full 10km/h later, although the speedometer shows as much as before the conversion (130km/h).

Ideally the higher final speed can be confirmed by a comparison with a GPS speed measurement (e.g. via mobile phone) before and after the conversion.

ASSEMBLY & ASR RECALIBRATION

The exhaust and the swingarm on the right side of the vehicle (in the direction of travel) are dismantled for retrofitting. After the simple exchange of the tonewheel (screwed to the rear wheel rim / by 5pcs. M6x20 hexagon socket screws) only the ASR system is recalibrated, that’s all. The ASR recalibration can be easily done by yourself using our manual.

Indicators with dynamic LED sequential light and with E-mark for Vespa

The trend comes from the automotive industry and the LED technology allowed us to develop these indicators. With its own brand „Moto Nostra“ Scooter Center is the first manufacturer that produces and sells indicators with dynamic LED sequential light for Vespa scooters. What’s new:

The LED light of these indicators is sequential, this means that the single LEDs don’t turn on simultaneously but in sequence creating the so-called sweeeping effect.

Design and safety

The design of the Moto Nostra indicators is just superb. However, our aim was also to develop an item which guarantees the rider’s safety. The LED indicators are very bright and thanks to the sequential LEDs your scooter will be much more visible in road traffic, a very important aspect for us scooterists. In addition, the front indicators feature the daytime running light, also for models before 2014.
The Moto Nostra indicators are available in the following versions:
  • colourless lenses
  • smoked lenses
The colour of the indicators with smoked lenses is exactly the same of the Moto Nostra tail lights. A perfect combination if used together
The indicators feature the homologation E-mark and are therefore homologated for use on public roads. No further technical inspection necessary.

Available for all Vespa GTS models

The new indicators are available as set of two (front or rear) and as a convenient set of four (front and rear).
For the models before 2014 the indicators include a wiring loom for a plug and play connection. Even though your Vespa GTS is a pre-facelift model, it will also feature daytime running lights, a further security feature.
The indicators of the models from 2014 and 2018/2019 are somewhat cheaper since they don’t include any further wire and you can use the genuine connector.

Stand-out features include the handcrafted dropbar, the modified front mudguard and the sports seat. BRAKES

The high-quality Brembo racing brake technology is now available with German TÜV-certification.
The brake kit mounted on our Vespa consists of a Brembo brake caliper with 4 pistons. The anodised black aluminium adapter was developed by Scooter Center and has a TÜV-certification.

If you want to appreciate the high performances of a top-quality brake system you do not need to test them on a racing vehicle. On standard scooters Brembo brake calipers also guarantee superb performance: high and well-modulated braking power.
Piston diameter 2 x 30 mm + 2 x 34 mm, two-piece, cast, CNC machined. High-tensile aluminium adapter, CNC machined, anodised black, TÜV-certification.

The stopping distance of a Vespa GTS with a Brembo brake calliper is up to 20% shorter compared to a Vespa with a standard caliper.

ONE-OFF PARTS OF THE SCOOTER CENTER VESPA DEMONSTRATOR

Drop bar / M-handlebar: the handlebar was manufactured by Scooter Center. The inclination was modified on both right and left side, the handlebar cover was made using more parts, adapted and painted.

Horn cover: Scooter Center’s own item handbuild by mixing parts of the Vespa GT and Primavera horn cover.

Mudguard: the design was adapted and recalls the classic design of the Vespa T5.

Fork: the length of fork was shortened by 4 cm in order to provide the GTS a sporty style.
