Last weekend we have been out for the Customshow in Ried/Austria.
After the 700 km trip it was a pleasure to meet Stoffi and his team. And not just because of the beer he offered.
The place where the show was held was really amazing. A proper tradeshow place that was packed with scooter even on Friday evening. To make life easier for us on the next day, we built up our stall.
The dinner brought the delicious Austrian food like Fritaten Suppe, Wiener Schnitzel and so on. And for sure beer and wine, which we thought we have earned after this day. Sadly for some of us involved a deck of cards appeared…
Finally there is a serious suspension upgrade available for all Vintage Vespa scooters with a seperate spring and damper unit. The bgm front shockers gives an up-to-date riding and cornering feeling to Vintage Vespas like the Rally, Sprint, GT, GTR, TS, GS 150, Super, GL…
The bgm Pro Vespa – shocker can be adjusted in 16 stages of the compression rebound. The first prototypes were heavily tested last year and we never had such a stable riding and braking experience with Rally & Sprints.
SCOOTER CENTER was glad to visit the 1st Italian Customshow in Riva del Garda.
A nice place associated with scenic landscapes, nice roads around the lake itself. Something you could really enjoy. Something we have seen at least while arriving and leaving. The rest of the time we have spend doing the Scooter Center stall at the Customshow and enjoying the weekend at the Do’s.
The Customshow was organized by Italian’s umbrella organization SIR and local club Corsi di Alpi. It took place together with the car and bike show “Motorissma” and the Customshow had a massive hall downstairs. If you would have landed there by accident no one would get the idea that it was the first time for a scooter Customshow in Italy. Roughly 60 scooters were on display. There were more Lambrettas on show and the quality of the work was higher as well. Uncommon for us was that the show took place on two days. But even better so we had two Nighters for relaxing.

With the start of your ‘one stop online shop‘ we are glad to stock the even uprated version of our bullet proof Vespa 54 mm long stroke crankshaft for the Vespa Smallframe.
The Highend Full Race crankshafts runs very succesfully on some of the 30 hp+ FALCS. More stroke means more torque and more power. This makes the 54 mm stroke Smallframe crank the right choice where power matters.
Beside the proofed features as:
- forged crank webs
- 54 mm stroke
- forged con rod with 105 mm length
- silver big end bearing
- 20 mm diameter of the big end pin
- 20 mm bearing seat at flywheel seat
- Made in Europe!
we gave the forged con rod a stunning CNC finish.
Finally, the date is confirmed: 26th of September 2009 brings IT back!
Our MaxSpeed-Festival (MSF) was the highlight for all speed-addicts. And it will take place again, so prepare your engines.
Now we are getting literarily. Some few syllables have to give you the complete picture of the atmosphere in Zell and all the things going on with our team.
“Today: 2nd day. For some of us the first day.
Cristall clear rivers. Tschüsch.
Less than 8 literes per 100 km. 11 hour ride on our GTs 250 & 300 and less than 3.5 literes per 100 100 km.
Servus, good night.”
Some proper words tomorrow!
