Vespa GTS 500

A Vespa GTS 500 is what many GTS riders dream of. An Italian engineer has given it some serious thought and visualised a 500cc model of the GTS, and the YouTube video has been very successful. Every year there is speculation in the scene as to whether Piaggio will bring it this year. Now Björn Dressler from Berlin has beaten Piaggio to the punch. With his project „La Mutata“, Björn is bringing his conversions with up to 44 hp and 492 cc legally onto the road. Before you pull out your wallet: this conversion is not done easily! It takes about 4 months and costs a bit more than most people carry around in their wallets: it starts at 15,000 euros. La Mutata Vespa GTS

The conversion of a Vespa Gts to a 500 Piaggio engine with German road approval and at least 39 hp! Italian for „The Mutated“ – enables riding performance with a Vespa GTS that is beyond that of a 300. All installed components such as chassis and brakes are tuned to the higher torque and the significantly increased peak power. An absolute highlight for all Vespa tuning fans! Moto Nostra flyscreen with TÜV certificate for Vespa GTS

UPDATE GTS flyscreen

Our Vespa sports flyscreen has successfully passed all necessary TÜV tests.

The current model requires a frame, but since we prefer a flyscreen without frame, we decided to modify once again the material of the flyscreen.

The flyscreen will be only 1mm thicker and therefore no frame will be necessary. Since the thinner flyscreen has passed the TÜV material tests, we are pretty sure that also the new version will pass the necessary tests.

Moto Nostra flyscreen

Scooter Center presents its latest Moto Nostra flyscreen which will also have a certification for use on public roads. The new flyscreen fits the genuine braket for the Cruiser flyscreen but has a much more compact form than the Vespa sports flyscreen Cruiser.

MADE-TO-MEASURE

The bag for GTS models and its variants GT/GTL was made-to-measure using high quality Cordura nylon. Vast 28 litres of storage volume mean a large luggage compartment, which can be perfectly used from the top.

WEATHER-PROOF & STURDY

The patented Cordura nylon is extremely wear resistant and sturdy. It is water-repellent and dries quickly. Zips are watertight and offer an overall protection of weather.

MULTI FUNCTIONAL

The bag can also be used as bag pack. This means that you can easily take valuable objects with you.

SAFE

There are four attach points, which grant a tight attachment of the bag to the vehicle at high speed, too. A standard luggage hook and the seat nose, as well as the supplied LOXX screws are used to attach the bag. These replace the screws of the inspection cover. Their spherical head is also part of the smart attaching system..

HANDY

You can still easily open the seat with the bag attached. Filling up the gas tank is possible with the bag attached. A width of 39cm is also no problem. There is sufficient space for your feet, also on a long tour.

STORAGE SPACE

The luggage compartment has a volume of 28 litres and is equipped with nice lining, which makes packing quick and easy without objects being caught. An additional compartment for odds and ends is perfect for mobile phones, a separate glasses case with Velcro keeps sunglasses easy at hand.

ATTACHING

The bag is easily attached. You only need a so-called torx screwdriver size T25 (often part of a car toolbox) and a fork-wrench spanner or a ring wrench in wrench size 9.

QUALITY

The bag is made of Cordura, which is in terms of outdoor quality beyond all doubt. Combined with fine and neat processing this bag offers a real added value, since it can be used for years.
