Non-damaging assembly

The mounting tool for primary drive wheels by BGM makes it possible to draw the large primary drive wheel into its bearing seat without causing any damage. It works on any Smallframe Vespa. The bushing of the assembly aid rests on the inner ring of the bearing only, which means that there won’t be any pressure on the sensitive bearing surface, the bearing itself or engine casing.

The tool was shaped in a way that there won’t be any pressure on sensitive parts like the bushing made of gun metal or bearing of the primary drive wheel and the bearing seat of the 16005 in the engine casing.

Safe and easy handling

The mounting tool is safely and easily handled. Therefore it is practically impossible to damage engine casing, primary drive wheel or bearing during assembly.

Springs for primary drive have to be stronger

Clutch and primary drive are crucial and highly strained links between crankshaft and drive. Its weakest part are the springs of the jolt damping.

These transmit the entire torque to the rear wheel, guarantee a symmetrical power transmission to the gearbox and smoothen the asymmetric flow of the crank drive between the dead centres. Not only in racing heavy crankshafts, lighter flywheels and immense load alterations shorten the tough life of the original springs.

We added reinforced springs to our stock for you. These fit the BGM PRO repair kits BGM0190, BGM0192, MMW Hartz4/5 and they also fit the original primary drive repair kits.

Comparing our springs to a Piaggio spring, you will see that the BGM spring is more elastic and the spring wire offers a larger deviation.

A larger possible deviation and a higher spring constant protect the primary drive of sharp breaking parts, even in toughest conditions.

Due to fitting conditions you cannot simply enlarge the spring to enhance its life span. Therefore we paid attention to use good material. Oteva is a highly robust spring steel, which is used for extremely dynamic loads. Its distinguishing characteristic is its durability in high temperatures during extreme mechanical use. Its surface is shot peened to further enhance durability.
