“The Vespa World Days, the largest Vespa meeting in the world, took place from June 22nd to 25th, 2017 in Celle. The event was organized by the local Vespa club. It is a mammoth task and at the same time a great dream. For a weekend, Vespa friends become event managers and Celle becomes the center of the Vespa world.
Ingo Weise, the President of the Celle Vespa Club, has been dreaming of bringing the Vespa World Days to Celle for 19 years and infected his Vespa friends with it. For a year they thought about, planned and organized together and transformed the CD Kaserne into an event site.
But the work does not end with the opening of the Vespa World Days. Then things really start. 4.000 Vespas are registered, 3.000 more are expected. That means 7.000 Vespas, 7.000 questions, 7.000 potential parking offenders. The city ticks twice for a weekend.
The Vespa is something of a legend among scooters. The Hollywood classic "A Heart and a Crown" made her famous all over the world. When the millionth vehicle rolled off the assembly line, this Vespa was even used by Pope Pius XII. blessed in St. Peter's Square in Rome.
Now Vespa fans from all over the world are coming to Lower Saxony with their Vespas. There are models including 50 horns, tuned engines, but also in the original paintwork. The whole variety of Vespa can be found on the event site.

Vespa World Days is an event organized by Piaggio which takes place yearly in a different country. The country or the local club submits to the Vespa World Club an application for the organization of the event. For 2017 the Vespa Club Celle was nominated as organizer of the event.
The Vespa World Club is composed, for one half, of Piaggio employees, while the other half is represented by the appointed members of the national clubs.
The Vespa World Club appointed the German Vespa Club for the organization of the VWD 2017 and this, in turn, appointed the Vespa Club Celle.
Vespa World Days: the great international rally
Would you like to join the greatest Vespa rally? You can participate as registered visitor and get lots of services or join with free entrance as daily visitor. Daily visitors are also welcome and can visit the entire event area with many spare part booths and exhibitions. You can even join the whirl of Vespas. The events in the evening, for example, are for registered visitors only.
As you can see, the Vespa World Days are not just a rally. Piaggio establishes precise rules and these are stated in the contract with the Vespa Club Celle. Here are two significant points:
Registration for the Vespa World Days is only possible using the online tool of the Vespa World Club.
Login data for the tool are given to each national club or local club organized in the respective national club.
This means that you cannot register for the Vespa World Days if you are not a member of an organized club. How to join the event? You have two possibilities: you can join an organized club or found a new club. So if you wish to participate, please contact your national club for further information.
Why register?
The Vespa Club Celle is contractually required to differentiate between registered and non-registered visitors.
All visitors have access to the Vespa Village.
All visitors can join the Vespa whirl.

Access to the scooter parking at the event area

Registration - Vespa World Days 2017, Celle (Germany)
This year the biggest annual Vespa event takes place in Germany: Vespa World Days in Celle. The first fuckets were sold out within a short period of time. From January 28th you have a second chance to get your ticket for the Vespa World Days '17 in Celle, Germany.
Light Entry tickets VWD 2017 - Price: € 65.
From 28th January 2017 you can get the sought-after VDW 2017 tickets in the so-called “Light Entry” version. Light entry? Is there any difference between “Full Entry” and “Light Entry”? Yes, "Full Entry" and "Light Entry" tickets are identical, but the "Light Entry" does't include the Gala dinner on Saturday evening.
Tip: book a camping place now!
Of course you can already book a camping place:
Party campsite: “Camping West” without silence curfew, adult € 50,
Family-friendly campsite, for a quiet stay: “Camping Family” (silence curfew from 10:00 pm), adult € 55.
This a lump-sum price for the whole period from Wednesday until Monday, independently from the date of arrival / departure.
Can caravans and campers be parked on the campsite?
Unfortunately the VWD campsites have no caravan parks. You can park such vehicles at the car park of the “Schützenplatz” located in the street “Hafenstrasse”. The parking place is not bookable.

The official announcement was made 2 years ago: the Vespa World Days 2017 will be in Germany - more specifically in Celle.
But where is Celle and who are the Celle Scooterists?
Celle in Lower Saxony in the beautiful Lüneburg Heath
Celle is located in Lower Saxony, about 50km north of Hanover and has a population of approx. 70,000 people. The town lies on the banks of the river Aller and is the southern gateway to the Lueneburg Heath. The castle and the picturesque old town center with over 400 timber-framed houses, make Celle one of the most remarkable towns on the German “timber-framed” road.
The Lüneburg heath stretches from Lüneburg in the north to Celle in the south. The Südheide nature park covers an area of about 500km². Woodlands and heathland, remnants from the middle ages, are now protected as a nature reserve. Well known in the region is the Heidschnucke, a moorland sheep, which lives from the local heather. The perfect destination for a group excursion!
Great starting point for further ride outs
Celle is the perfect base for various excursions, the local roads perfect for Vespa trips. Within a 100 km drive a variety of destinations can be reached. These include: steinhuder sea, northern Germany's largest lake with a circumference of 24 km. Hanover, Lower Saxony's capital. The Deister hills with their wide variety of flora and fauna.
Vespa Club Celle
The Vespa Club in Celle, founded in 1986, is an active group of passionate Vespa drivers, who are known for combining this passion for Vespas with the importance of family and community. The club organizes regular activities, highlighting in August with its annual “Heidetreffen” in nearby Walle. This scooter rally is one of the largest in Germany, with its reputation of bringing together scooter drivers of all generations and backgrounds as well as being planned with families in mind.
