The new bgm PRO Vespa brake drums - by scooter drivers for scooter drivers

This Vespa brake drums are again a development from the company Scooter Center or bgm PRO. Alex is working on one Wideframe Vespa project. Here he noticed that the brake drums offer great potential for improvement.

The result is a completely new development Made in Germany made of stronger material and with a great performance. Since we were at it, we also have a 9 ″ / 10 ″ brake drum for the Vespa V50 Smallframes made with. In practice, the brake drum has already proven itself in extreme tests:

Made of high-quality cast iron, it offers enormous advantages over conventional brake drums made of thin sheet steel:

• suitable for original and tubeless rims
• no delay due to hot brakes
• perfect concentricity through exact centering via the wheel shaft (tol.0.02mm!)
• no more juddering of the brakes
• significantly better heat dissipation through the cooling fins
• much more stable due to greater overall wall thickness
• additional reinforcement through cooling fins
• no brake fading under constant load (temperature max. 200-240 °)

With this brake drum one also brakes 8 inch Vespa finally really good!

Made of high-quality cast iron, it offers enormous advantages over conventional brake drums made of thin sheet steel:

• no delay due to hot brakes
• perfect concentricity through exact centering via the wheel shaft (tol.0.02mm!)
• no more juddering of the brakes
• significantly better heat dissipation through the cooling fins
• Much more stable due to the total wall thickness of 11,5mm (of which 6,5mm cooling fins)
• additional reinforcement through cooling fins
• no brake fading under constant load (temperature max. 200-240 °)

With this brake drum one also brakes Vespa V50 finally really good!

Note: The brake drums are delivered oiled to protect against corrosion. Please remove the oil before assembly (e.g. with brake cleaner, see accessories). Like all cast iron brake drums, if they are not protected they will corrode and get moisture. For protection, the outside of the brake drum can be coated with heat-resistant exhaust paint. In this way, the drum remains visually beautiful over the long term.
