The potential of Smallframe engines have been increasing during the past years and seem to increase even further.

Today you can find levels of performance and torque above 35HP / 30Nm more often. This, in turn, puts more sprain on other parts.

Springs for primary drive have to be stronger

Clutch and primary drive are crucial and highly strained links between crankshaft and drive. its weakest part are the springs of the jolt damping.

These transmit the entire torque to the rear wheel, guarantee a symmetrical power transmission to the gearbox and smoothen the asymmetric flow of the crank drive between the dead centers. Not only in racing heavy crankshafts, lighter flywheels and immense load alterations shorts the tough life of the original springs.

New reinforced springs by BGM PRO

We added reinforced springs to our stock for you. These fit the BGM PRO repair kits BGM0190, BGM0192, MMW Hartz4/ 5 and they also fit the Original primary drive repair kits.

The new BGM PRO springs provide more power

Comparing our springs to a Piaggio spring, you will see that the BGM spring is more elastic and the spring wire offers a larger deviation.

A larger possible deviation and a higher spring constant protect the primary drive of sharp breaking parts, even in the toughest conditions.

Due to fitting conditions you cannot simply enlarge the spring to enhance its life span. Therefore we paid attention to use good material. Oteva is a highly robust spring steel, which is used for extremely dynamic loads. Its distinguishing characteristic is its durability at high temperatures during extreme mechanical use. Its surface is shot peened to further enhance durability.

From Alaska to Tierra del Fuego

Our customers Alexander “Atze” Eischeid ”, the Vespa traveler from Cologne traveled from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego in 19 months, 19 countries and more than 65,000 km.

Unbelievable adventures, visits of numerous Vespa clubs and fans of scooters all over the American continent have turned his journey into a unique and unforgettable experience!

Of course, the Scooter Center supported its customer Atze and, among other things, delivered urgently needed Vespa spare parts to Alaska.

Welcome home parade

His friends want to demonstrate their respect by welcoming him in Cologne, his home town. And what would be the best and most suitable way for doing so? In accompanying him on his last leg through Cologne.

START

Meeting point: 2 pm at Schillplatz in Cologne-Nippes
Goal: group photo at the Kirmesplatz in Cologne-Deutz and the city panorama with all the scooters that took part in the parade
Coffee, cakes and drinks will be provided !!

Everyone who wants to join and who is free then is cordially invited.

GOAL

Meeting point: 4 pm at the Kirmesplatz in Cologne-Deutz
Those of you who don't have a Vespa are invited to join us by bycicle, public transport or foot at our final meeting point at the Kirmesplatz in Cologne-Deutz at aprox. 4 pm.

After that we will finish off the day at “La Barra” at Cologne-Barbarossaplatz.

Vespa loud & almost 1000cc & 170hp

Fancy something different? This is a P range with 170 hp.

The idea was born in 2010. The building of the complete monster was started in September 2014 and is finished by now.

The engine and forks are of a Yamaha R1 and the Vespa frame is massively reinforced to sustain the power. Otherwise it would be folded together like a beer can. We hope to see this beast on the drag strips very soon!
