Wonderful weather - wonderful people - wonderful scooters

Wow, it was a great weekend! On Saturday, the 5th of May, we kicked off the 11th edition of our Custom Show which took place in Cologne, Germany.

On Friday everything was prepared quickly and in the evening we could welcome the first guests arriving from Munich and Hamburg. On Saturday morning ours Scooter Center team made the last preparations and at 9am we could welcome our international participants.

The location of the custom show, adventure halls in Cologne Kalk, offers every year a special atmosphere: the engine production by the company Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz (KHD) in Cologne was a significant milestone. The production of 4-stroke engines began in Cologne in 1876. Gottlieb Daimler, Wilhelm Maybach and Ettore Bugatti worked together for the development of 4-stroke engines. The basis of the 4-stroke engine was created in the KHD halls in Cologne.

The adventure halls are therefore the perfect location to display our beloved scooters and show them to a wide public. No matter if a 2-stroke or 4-stroke, with gear change or automatic! Also on Saturday there was a wide range of stunning scooters on display.

The exhibition took place in the two halls, at over 5,000 m2, and for over 1,000 visitors and more than 120 different scooters. We also had participants who presented their scooter for the first time at a scooter show and participants coming from Germany as well as from other countries such as Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Switzerland, England, Italy and even Colombia.

In the outdoor area a relaxing atmosphere with a cozy beer garden and a wide range of gastronomic offer. Out of the halls lots of scooters, some of them worth being prized as custom scooters.

And finally on this weekend we kick off our 11th custom show! We are proud to present you the wide range of scooters taking part to our event. So this year scooters for the first time at the custom show. We also know that some of the participants are still working hard in their workshops in order to get them scooters ready on time for the show. It remains exciting...

Of course, so this year we buckled down in our workshop to present you our last Scooter Center project at the custom show. A Lambretta or maybe a Vespa? Classic or automatic? Or something completely different? Let us surprise you… See you at the scooter show 2018.

According to the weather forecast the water will be excellent! Sunshine and cloudless sky with over 20 degrees. Just come by scooter and enjoy the legendary atmosphere!

Scooter Custom Show: 5th May 2018, save the date!

Our great Scooter Custom Show kicks off the scooter season again!
This year we will celebrate 11 years Scootershow and 26 years Scooter Center = Pure scootering.
The Scooter Custom Show 2018 will take place in the same location since 2007, in the Adventure Hall Lime in Cologne, Germany.

Also for the scooter show 2018 there will be the same custom scooter categories of last year.

Scooter Center Customshow 2016 - No. 9 1945 9th of April 2016 had finally arrived. the ninth Scooter Center Custom show takes place in the adventure halls Cologne.

Nicest sunshine accompanied almost 2,000 visitors to marvel at more than one hundred exhibits, which reflect the entire range of the scooter scene.

A private market for spare parts and distributors booths finished off custom scooters. Now the bar is high for next year's show, with visitors, exhibitors and organizers agreeing unanimously that this year's Customshow was the best of all SC times.

The share of real custom scooters what a delight. Champ, our friend of the German classic scooter magazine CLASSIC SCOOTERS, has gotten to the heart of things:

“An overwhelming number of top scooters what being presented. This was the first custom show in a long time, which lived up to its name (and was no mere exhibition of vintage scooters).”

You can't put it any better. The comeback of customs reminded of the golden 90s. Scooters like LEGIO X by Paul are exemplary. Designed with such a love for details and immense effort, also demonstrated in the golden Lambretta rear shock absorber by BGM PRO.

But blending various styles is a special charm.

A hypothetical 1953 standard racer by Hoffmann, a licensed Vespa manufacturer, and Andreas Nagy or an Innocenti 2 cylinder SX prototype, of which only two exist, or a flash-back to the 80s “Traumschiff” by Yoleila, to mention just a few.

The booth of our Italian friends at Parmakit, Casa Lambretta and Rimini Lambretta Center was a highlight. The Casa Performance catalog 2016 saw its world premier and had been printed as a preliminary special edition with 150 copies for the custom show.

Vittorio Tessera of Casa Lambretta also likes the event: “You have prepared an incredible scooter show!”

The show is not only limited to the interior. Another one hundred or so scooters parked outside the hall in the finest weather, inviting visitors to fruitful discussions on tuning, restoration and perfection.

It remains to say: great weather, awesome atmosphere and a successful start for the next season made us want more!

It is no more coincidence that our 9th Scooter Center Custom Show 2016 will take place on April, 9th 2016.

9th International Scootershow

The ninth scooter custom show for Vespa, Lambretta and automatic scooters will take place on April 9th, 2016. The event of the year of the custom scene will take place in our city by the river Rhine in Cologne. As in the past years, international exhibitors will present 150 scooters in the legendary location of Adventure Halls Cologne-Kalk. Information: Scooter Custom Show 2016

Scooters - Market of parts - Bargains - Scene

A big private market for spare parts will be part of the show again. You might find rare spare parts or accessories or make a bargain for your scooter.

We expect producers and retailers to have booths again.

Classic & Automatic Scooter Customshow

The Scootershow - our Scooter Center Scooter Customshow - took place on March, 21st 2015. And again we are totally flashed by the amount of passion to scooters. No matter if automatic or classic. Once more, great scooters and great people were part of it. We are already preparing for Scooter Customshow 2016 in Cologne.

The 8th SCOOTERSHOW '15 saw 150 scooters and 1,500 visitors, exhibitors and sellers from Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Austria, Switzerland and Poland. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Corso to Scooter Center Custom show Cologne

Joint parade to the Custom Show in Cologne

The new season starts with a big season opening on May, 6th in Aachen and on April, 12th in Cologne. Even before this, Vespa nest Aachen and Rhine switch Cologne organize a joint scooter corso to the SCOOTERSHOW´15 in Cologne, March, 21st 2015. For more information click here. Facebook event.

The members of Rheinschalters are real home boys and girls, therefore they will, as it is the standard, meet their friends from Aachen at the gates of Cologne. And then they will accompany them to SCOOTERSHOW'15 - the international Scooter Center Custom show in Cologne Kalk.

Rolling in Aachen Cologne to the custom show

Meeting point for all Cologne scooterists:

Meeting point Cologne: 9:00 am at Rudolfplatz
Departure: at 9:15 am direction Frechen
Meeting point Aachen / Cologne scooterists: about 10:00 am with Vespa-Nest Aachen at the AVEX petrol station (Bonnstraße 15 - 17, 50226 Frechen)

At about 10:30 am departure to a short, joint rideout in the surroundings of Cologne, heading for the Scooter Center custom show SCOOTERSHOW'15 in adventure halls lime; arrival at about 11:30am.

Entry / opening of the Customshow from noon, entry 5 Euros only
